For the last 10 years, Waste Oil Recyclers has been taking the used vegetable oil from fryers in restaurants, hospitals and universities and sending it to refineries turn into biodiesel. The company has now expanded its operation in a big way, after the completion of a nearby railroad spur that allows it to send the waste oil via rail tankers rather than by truck, saving hundreds of trips a year.
