DCCC logoOn Wednesday, Penn State University and Delaware County Community College signed a guaranteed admissions agreement enabling qualifying graduates of two-year college to transfer seamlessly to Penn State.

By being able to transfer credits from Delaware County Community College’s lower tuition fee two-year courses, students can now save some money on their road to a four-year baccalaureate degree at Penn State.

The agreement applies to Bachelor of Science’s in either Biology or Business and Bachelor of Arts or Science in Psychology at Penn State’s “University College” academic unit. All of these courses are offered at Penn State’s Brandywine Campus.

Graduates with an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree from Delaware County Community College with a minimum grade-point average of 2.0 are also eligible.

According to the agreement, application fees for Penn State are waived, but other requirements and restrictions may apply. Former Penn State undergraduate students in good academic standing currently attending Delaware County Community College are also eligible.

“We’re very pleased to build on the long and collaborative relationship we have with the Community College,” said Dr. Kristin Woolever, Penn State Brandywine Chancellor.

“This mutually beneficial agreement furthers our mission to provide accessible and affordable higher education opportunities for students in our region and continues our commitment to be invested in our community.”
