
And despite what the gridlock most of us experience during morning rush hour would indicate, not everyone leaves for work at the same time.
In Chester County, approximately 236,699 people commute to work every day. The majority of those commuters leave their homes during three different blocks of time: 7:00-7:29 AM, 7:30-7:59 AM, or 8:00-8:29 AM.
As we would expect, many commuters leave home between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. However, rates concentrate around this hour much more in some counties than others.
This is especially true for counties in the Midwest. Around half of commuters in many Midwest counties leave during this hour.
In contrast, commuters are more spread out between 7:00 and 8:30 AM in other areas, like Chester County.
