The University of Valley Forge has breached an important milestone, and more in today's Chester County Briefly.

Here’s the rundown on other stories happening around Chester County.

After a five-year application process, the University of Valley Forge in Phoenixville has been granted Division III NCAA status. The classification is effective for the 2016-17 athletic season and beyond. According to the NCAA, “more than 180,000 student-athletes at 450 institutions make up Division III, the largest NCAA division.”

Exton’s disposable medical supply carrier ABC Home Medical Supply has picked up West Coast supply outfit Experea. The details of the acquisition have not been disclosed. “Bob Wolf and his team at Experea have created a premier provider of medical supplies on the West Coast, an area that we at ABC Medical have been interested in expanding for some time,” said Keith Jones, president and CEO of ABC Medical, in a statement released by the supplier.

West Chester Area School District has placed a 92-year-old building on the market. “It’s impossible to not see how old the administrative home of the West Chester Area School District is,” writes Candice Monhollon for the Daily Local News.
