Call to Action: United Way of Chester County is Inviting You to Learn about UNIFY and Become a Volunteer

The United Way of Chester County and the CCIU are launching UNIFY, a program that offers early learning opportunities to children ages 3-5.

To give children ages 3- 5 in the Coatesville Community expanded early learning opportunities, the United Way of Chester County has teamed up with the Chester County Intermediate Unit to launch a new program called UNIFY (United Neighbors Impacting Families and Youth) at the Gordon School.

They are looking for caring volunteers to help preschoolers prepare and better adjust to changes associated with the start of school, boost academic achievement, and assist young students get on track for a bright future.

There are numerous ways to get involved in the program, with opportunities ranging from individual to group focused.

Volunteers can get involved with teacher-guided activities in the classroom, greet other volunteers, and share personal expertise or their hobbies with the young students. Other options include hosting a school supply or book drive and helping create a vibrant learning environment through activities such as painting and prepping.

More information on this opportunity make a real difference in young lives will be provided on July 20th at 3:00 p.m. in the Gordon School Library at 351 Kersey Street in Coatesville.
