With graduation season upon us, Trulia, the online residential real estate site for home buyers, sellers, renters and real estate professionals, recently used a variety of factors to rank the 10 best and worst metropolitan areas to launch a career.

The region comprised of Montgomery, Chester, and Bucks counties ranked sixth among the best places to start working out of college.

Data indicates that, aside from your industry and experience, some of your success landing interviews and getting hired can be influenced by where you live.

Certain cities have more career opportunities, not to mention a rental median and cost of living that are amenable to an entry-level salary.

Trulia considered affordability, a sizable population of recent grads, and entry-level job availability data from LinkedIn for 40 top U.S. metros.

Pittsburgh ranked first among the 10 best areas to start a career, while Philadelphia checked in at No. 8. Five of the 10 are in either Pennsylvania or Ohio.
