Boston’s Radius Health Bringing 100 Jobs to Wayne
Over a hundred new jobs will be coming to Wayne following the opening of Radius Health Inc.’s new office building, writes John George for Philadelphia Business Journal.
The Waltham biopharmaceutical company, which is developing new treatments for osteoporosis, oncology, and endocrine diseases, has opened a 14,000-square-foot office in the Crosspoint Office Park on Swedesford Road.
The site will be home to over one hundred mostly new employees and will be the base for Radius’ commercial, pharmacovigilance, and medical affairs teams as they prepare for the company’s first commercial product launch.
Radius’ lead drug candidate, a potential treatment for postmenopausal women with osteoporosis, is currently under review by the Food and Drug Administration.
Robert E. Ward, President and CEO of Radius, said the company decided to open its new office in Wayne to “leverage the region’s vibrant life sciences community and workforce.”
Christopher P. Molineaux, President of Pennsylvania Bio, said that Radius Health’s decision to expand its operations to the Philadelphia area is another convincing example of how the state is continuously attracting innovative companies to the commonwealth.
“We look forward to introducing Radius to the outstanding talent and resources found throughout the region,” he added.
