World of Beer Opens its Doors in Exton

West Chester brewers give World of Beer a shout out (tweet out?) on Twitter.

The eagerly awaited World of Beer tavern in Exton opened its doors on Monday and its impressive selection of brews are just a tap pull away for local beer lovers. It’s the first Pennsylvania location for the famous beer franchise, writes Brian McCullough from Daily Local News.

Jason Asher, the Regional General Manager, said the day was as hectic as any opening could be, as people filled the tavern for lunch and beer lovers were already piling in by mid-afternoon.

“The crowd has been good,” he said. “People are excited. It’s pretty crazy. And it’s all stress on my part to get everything open.”

Exton WOB has made sure to include a large selection of local favorites in addition to its massive selection of beers from around the world. Brews from Victory Brewing of Dowingtown, Levante Brewing of West Chester, and Sly Fox Brewery of Phoenixville have already found a place on the menu together with many other local products.

To increase variety, the bar will rotate its taps daily, and offer other drinks, such as craft spirit cocktails, ciders and wine, as well as nonalcoholic options. The tavern also features its well-known menu items such as Giant Bavarian Pretzels, the Guinness “Brat” Slider, and the Chimay Burger.

The Exton tavern is also home to a WOB Infusion Tower, which allows beer to be infused with herbs, coffee, fruit and other ingredients to create new flavors. To mark the Exton grand opening, Liquid Hero Brewery’s Juste Le Bout was infused with strawberries, basil and cucumber.
