#FlashbackFriday: Strode’s Grist Mill in 1899

By

The broad side of the grist mill was photographed in 1899 and added to the Library of Congress in 1959.

Happy Friday Chester County! Aside from the weekend being practically at our doorstep, Fridays are awesome because we get to time travel for a bit. And since we’re a Chester County publication, we thought we’d begin our #FlashbackFridays by honoring one of the oldest structures in Chester County: Strode’s Grist Mill at Birmingham and Lenape roads.

Enjoy the great photos we dug up over at the Library of Congress.
