Ron Jaworski achieved huge success as a Super Bowl quarterback for the Eagles and later as an ESPN football analyst. Now his longstanding passion for golf has helped him add successful businessman to his achievements, writes Joe Juliano for Philly.com.

But filling his thirst for golf was not always easy. Jaworski camp up in a hardworking, blue-collar family.

“When we played the golf course, we’d always start on the second hole because I couldn’t afford it. We snuck on – I’ll be the first to admit it,” recalled Jaworski. “If I said I was going to pay money to play golf, my dad would have thrown me out of the house.”

Five decades later, the days of sneaking onto the course are long gone. Jaworski just added a seventh course to his golf empire: Ramblewood Country Club in Mount Laurel. That club joins the four others he owns in New Jersey, and the Downingtown Country Club and Honey Run Golf Club he has here in Pennsylvania.

The business is a true family affair which he runs with his wife, Liz, and their children. Jaworski’s main philosophy is to provide people with an affordable experience that will include good golf conditions, great service, and ice-cold beer.

“I want people to say, ‘Jaws made golf fun,’ Jaworski said.
