AmerisourceBergen and Walgreens Add Three Years to Their Partnership Agreement
AmerisourceBergen, the Valley Forge pharmaceutical distribution and services company, has extended its long-term, multibillion-dollar partnership with Walgreens Boots Alliance by three years. The agreement extends the two companies’ pharmaceutical distribution collaboration to 2026 and also includes an enhanced commitment from Walgreens to use AmerisourceBergen as its main pharmaceutical distribution partner in the country.

The Mid-Atlantic regional chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization, a collection of like-minded entrepreneurs focused on business growth, personal development, and community engagement, has partnered with Chester and Delaware County SCORE to launch a new executive mentoring program. As part of the program, over a 100 experienced and skilled SCORE counselors are available to advise all EO Philadelphia member company CEO’s and top management.

Ametek Names New CEO
Ametek Inc., the Berwyn manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices, announced on Wednesday that David A. Zapico will succeed Frank S. Hermance as Chief Executive Officer, effective May 5th. Zapico, who has been with Ametek for 26 years and is currently the company’s Chief Operating Officer, was also appointed to a place on Ametek’s board of directors.

YMCA Ready to Unveil New Outdoor Pool
After a yearlong campaign that managed to raise an impressive $1 million, the Upper Main Line YMCA is ready to debut its 50 meter outdoor pool, one of the few pools of its size available in Chester County. The afternoon ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on May 12. The six-lane in-ground heated pool will be open m May 13 and is planned to operate through October, weather permitting.
SEPA Legal Aid Elects William J. Gallagher as President
MacElree Harvey partner, William J. Gallagher, has been elected President of Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, the non-profit corporation dedicated to providing high quality civil legal services for people with low income, domestic abuse victims, and the elderly living in Chester, Delaware, Bucks, and Montgomery counties. A longtime resident of Kennett Square, Mr. Gallagher has been practicing law and serving the community for over half a century.
