Ten Gallon Hat Winery Closes after Nearly Two Years in Business

After nearly two years in business, the Ten Gallon Hat Winery closed the doors on its tasting room at The Barn in Chadds Ford on May 23rd. The Winery, run by the Dion family, began serving wine samples in December 2013 and moved into the renovated barn next to Chaddsford Winery on Route 1 in September 2014.

Aclaris Enters Into $20M Private Stock Purchase Agreement

Aclaris Therapeutics has entered into a $20 million stock purchase deal with a group of institutional accredited investors that is expected to close on June 2nd. The company has sold close to 1.1 million of its shares in the private placement to help finance its research and development activities, including its JAK inhibitor programs for the treatment of baldness and skin conditions.

West Chester’s Gemelli Artisanal Gelato and Dessert Cafe Recognized by SCORE

SCORE Chester and Delaware County Chapter will present West Chester’s Gemelli Artisanal Gelato and Dessert Cafe with a Small Business Award during its luncheon on June 2nd. Owned by young married couple, Julianne and Vincenzo Tettamanti, Gemelli Artisanal Gelato and Dessert Café is located on Market Street across from the Chester County Historic Courthouse.

New U.K. Funds Launched by Vanguard

Vanguard launched several new funds in the U.K. last week, including Vanguard Global Balanced fund, Vanguard Global Equity fund, and Vanguard Global Equity Income fund all with an annual fee of 0.60 percent and the Vanguard Global Emerging Markets fund at 0.80 percent. These new funds add to the four actively managed ETF funds launched by Vanguard in the U.K. last fall.
