The Brandywine Health Foundation has become an integral part of the community over the last 15 years working tirelessly to create a healthy, vibrant, and safe environment for residents and has distributed over $15 million in grants toward that goal.

To commemorate its impact on the community, Frances Sheehan, President and CEO of the foundation announced the final results of Brandywine’s rebranding efforts.

“Our mission of transforming the Coatesville area into one of the healthiest and most vibrant communities in the U.S. requires us to constantly strive for the highest level of performance,” said Sheehan. “So we stepped back after 15 years to ask our community and supporters throughout the Philadelphia area if we were effectively communicating our unique role in Chester County for maximum impact.”

Sheehan said that the foundation’s grantmaking and programming have grown beyond its initial mission of health equity, to include youth development and community building efforts.  She also pointed out that being the only philanthropy that focuses solely on the Coatesville area, the home of some of Pennsylvania’s poorest municipalities, puts an extra sense of responsibility on the organization.

As a result, Miller Designworks, the Phoenixville web design, video production and creative graphic design firm, created the “Brandywine Health Foundation, For a Greater Coatesville” tag. The also developed fresh logo and design to help communicate the foundation’s vibrancy and energy, as well as its many accomplishments.

“In rebranding we wanted to convey a sense of professionalism but also accessibility, one of the foundation’s most valued characteristics,” said Sheehan, adding that the vibrancy represented in the new logo conveys the energy that the foundation puts into its work in Chester County.
