Chester County residents’ thirst for great ideas will be quenched next week when TEDxWestChester returns for its third and final event in the recent TEDx Salon series of local “ideas worth spreading” and tackles the “Freshwater Crisis: A Global Problem With Backyard Solutions.”

The talk’s featured speaker is research scientist and Stroud Water Research Center President, and the event will also spotlight TED videos and a question and answer period. It is scheduled for this evening  (6:30 to 8 p.m.) at the West Chester Borough Hall.

Limited tickets are available for $10 to the first 100 guests to reserve a seat. Because the 2014 and 2015 TEDxWestChester events sold out with lengthy waiting lists, organizers are hoping to host future talks on a quarterly basis and move them into the 300-seat theater currently being renovated by the Uptown! Entertainment Alliance in the former National Guard Armory building.

The TEDx talks are put together by Uptown! in association with West Chester Public Library and West Chester University.
