Get ready to test your stamina, strength, and mental toughness as the 2016 Philly Tough Mudder is returning to Chester County on the weekend of May 21st and 22nd.  Set in the heart of the Brandywine Valley, this year’s course will take full advantage of the area’s diverse nature to ensure that competitors will face both new obstacles and many favorites from last year’s event.

The 10-12 mile mud and obstacle course will feature over 20 different tasks to overcome, including new and familiar challenges such as the revamped Cage Crawl, Block Ness Monster, Quagmire, Mud Mile and the super popular Electroshock Therapy. This fun weekend also provides an opportunity to participate while raising money for charity.

The Greater West Chester Chamber and friends are volunteering again at this year’s event, which gives the chance to work the beer tent for a few hours and receive a free all access pass to watch the competitors battle it out in the mud.

The two day event will take place on Plantation Field at 387 Green Valley Road in Coatesville where for competitors and spectators alike, there will be a base area featuring music, refreshments and smaller scale Mudder Village challenges that anyone can try out, to get a taste of what the participants are actually going though.

Early bird prices to compete as a Tough Mudder range from $158-185 until April 28th when they will increase, and there are also options for corporate team participation.

To register as a volunteer email the GWCC at info@gwcc.org. To get more details about the event and to sign up to compete as a Tough Mudder go here.
