Caln Residents Chat with the Police over a Cup of Joe

The public got the chance to enjoy a discussion with local police when the Caln police and the Pennsylvania State Police’s Embreeville Barracks hosted the “Coffee with a Cop” event on Wednesday morning at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Caln. The event, sponsored by the U.S. Justice Department, provides a more relaxed chance for residents to talk with the police, as most people usually only deal with the police after a negative incident or when someone in is crisis.

Delco Community College’s New Music Series Presents Loadbang

The New York City-based music chamber group ‘loadbang’ described by The New Yorker as “an extra-cool new music group” is holding a concert at Delaware County Community College on Sunday, April 24th at 3 p.m. The concert, which showcases a new kind of music for a mixed ensemble, is being held as part of The College’s New Music Series in the Academic Building on Marple Campus at 901 S. Media Line Road in Media.

County Dedicates Phoenixville Bridge to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Following a request by the Phoenixville Area Social Concerns Committee, Chester County is renaming County’s bridge #185 to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Bridge in a ceremony which will take place on Monday, April 4th, at 11:00 a.m. The dedication ceremony, which is open to the public, will include comments from the Commissioners, Phoenixville Borough leaders and members of the Phoenixville Social Concerns Committee, as well as a ceremonial walk across the bridge.
