Craft and home décor enthusiasts are in store for a spree of new shopping opportunities this June when Hobby Lobby and Kirkland’s come to Exton.

Crafters and home decorators, get ready; Exton is about to treat you to a pair of new shopping experiences this summer when well-known national retailers Hobby Lobby and Kirkland’s unveil their newest aisles of goods.

Just across from the new Whole Foods Market that’s being built at the Exton Square Mall, the area’s first Kirkland’s is gearing up to offer Chester County shoppers 8,602 square feet filled with chairs, pillows, “framed art, mirrors, candles, lamps, picture frames, accent rugs, garden accessories and artificial floral products,” according to a recent Daily Local News report by Brian McCullough.

Adding a variety of its own home décor offerings as well as a plethora of crafting supplies for hobbyists of all types will be the 64,000-square-foot Hobby Lobby store in the Whiteland Towne Center where Acme Market used to serve Exton residents.

“First-time shoppers in Chester County will be pleasantly surprised at the large store size and the exceptional service provided by our trained associates,” Assistant Vice President of Advertising John Schumacher said in the article.

Hobby Lobby aims to hire 35 to 50 jobs paying full-timers $15.24 an hour and part-timers an hourly rate of $10.16, and Kirkland’s expects to bring on 25 people full- or part-time.
