Axx_750mlBottle_RC(RGB)Downingtown based Victory Brewing Company will celebrate its 20th anniversary with the launch of its new luxurious and culturally inspired Anniversary XX Imperial Pilsner.

The new beverage, which combines the best of both European and American brewing cultures, offers a unique taste designed to excite craft beer fans for the milestone celebration. The brew not only offers a new distinctive taste, but the labeling has also been specially designed to show that Victory Brewing has been leading brewing innovation for two decades.

Fans, aficionados, and collectors of craft beer will enjoy the unique packaging as it represents the past, present, and future of Victory. A striking “XX” is featured as the focal point of the anniversary label, showcasing 20 years of brewery’s boldness, while a striking contrast of rich green and yellow imagery will reveal the joining of old-world Europe and new-era America to create a brew with rich and full bodied herbal hop and deep malt notes.

To create the beer, Victory started by tapping into the European brewing roots of its founders using the full character of German noble hops to give balance to this substantial 8.0% ABV brew. Victory then used Pilsner malts banded together with Tettnang, Spalt, and Mittelfrueh hops, to create the unique Imperial Pilsner style.

The end result is a color that graduates from straw to golden yellow topped off with thick white foam. The flavor delivers a subtle spiciness of hops merged with the warm flavors of German barley malts highlighted with slight herbal tea, hay and floral notes and finishing with a light citrus flavor. The new brew will be available from mid-February to April in a 750 ml bottle and will retail at around $9.99.

Anniversary XX Imperial Pilsner aims continue Victory’s long tradition of producing Pilsner beers and the new brew builds on the success of its great Pilsner beers, most notably Prima Pils.

“Since Prima Pils has been one of our longest standing brands, it only makes sense that we debut this Imperial Pilsner in celebration of our 20th Anniversary,” said Victory’s President and Brewmaster, Bill Covaleski. “After twenty years of brewing, we’re proud to deliver Anniversary XX to craft beer fans as we look ahead to innovate on tradition for the next 20 years.”
