Lamb McErlane Attorney Joins Two Local Non-Profit Committees  

West Chester’s Lamb McErlane, continues the full-service law firm’s tradition of its attorney’s giving back to the community as Rachel E. Lusk has been elected to the board of trustees of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Autism Resource Center or SPARC, and has also joined the Emerging Leaders Committee of the CCCBI.

Lusk focuses most of her legal work in civil and commercial litigation for both state and civil cases, and is already a member of the Chester County Community Foundation. In her role at SPARC she will get the opportunity to oversee programs that help individuals with autism as well as children with other behavioral or development problems.

The CCCBI Emerging Leadership Committer focuses on helping the growth of young professionals in the region by educating, engaging and empowering them as they develop into the future business leaders of Chester County.

New Executives Announced by SCILEX Pharmaceuticals

SCILEX Pharmaceuticals has appointed several medical affairs representatives to work on the development and commercialization of new products as it advances the assessments of its unique drug candidates.

Among the Malvern based company’s new hires are Dr. Kalpana Patel as Senior Director of Medical Affairs and Christine Rosser as Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs. In addition, Damon Burrows, JD will join the company as Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

ZTlido, a next-generation patch for the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia and the company’s first product, was accepted by the FDA in September, with PDUFA expected to be approved in Q2 of 2016.

“These hires add to the expertise of our growing team, and boost our capacity as we explore the commercialization of several differentiated pain treatment products,” said Anthony Mack, Chief Executive Officer of SCILEX. “Their industry knowledge and commercial acumen ensures SCILEX is well-positioned to realize its ambitions.”

Applications Open for CYI’s 2016 ServiceCorps Leadership Program

Coatesville Youth Initiative has announced that applications are now open for its 2016 ServiceCorps summer leadership program.

The program, available to residents of the Coatesville Area School District aged 14 to 18 is highly selective and rigorous, while at the same time very fun for the participants and thanks to the community’s generosity is offered free-of-charge.

Participants in the program will commit to eight weeks of paid employment experience which will help develop their leadership skills while fostering their personal and professional growth.

“In just eight short weeks, we see high school students blossom into responsible, focused, and civic-minded contributing members of our community,” said Chaya Scott, CYI’s Executive Director. “Since the program’s inception, ServiceCorps students have completed 57,000 hours of service and earned over $430,000 in wages.”

Applications are due by March 18 at 4 p.m. either on paper or online at www.coatesvilleyouthinitiative.org.
