A Kennett Square firm with a legacy of redesigning the future in every age has won the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce’s prestigious 2015 Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Award.

“We’re not designing monuments, we’re designing solutions to our clients’ challenges,” Bernardon Principal Bill Holloway said in a video highlighting the accolade.

For 42 years, the leader in architecture, interior design and landscape architecture has honed unique specialties within its ranks to not only respond to but anticipate its clients next needs.

“We’ve seen tremendous change in this profession, and each recession brings its own set of challenges,” Founder Art Bernardon said, “and we’ve been very fortunate with the leadership staff and the balance of our staff working on our strategic plan collectively. It’s a constant learning process to stay ahead of the curve.”

“We bring the ability to be conscious of the economic aspects of an architectural and design project in addition to design excellence to the table,” Holloway added.

Those talents have manifest themselves in projects such as the new North American headquarters of Saint-Gobain and Certainteed in Malvern, Kennett Square headquarters for both Genesis Healthcare Corp. and Chatham Financial headquarters, Victory Brewing Co. in Parkesburg, St. Davids Golf Club in Wayne, the West Chester University Quad redesign, the Chester County Justice Center, Minquas Fire Co. No. 2 in Downingtown and Christiana Care Concord Health Center in Chadds Ford.

“That’s extremely rewarding for us, to be able to see how a project that we have been involved in has affected the greater community,” Bernardon said.
