Today is Veterans Day, honoring Americans who have served their country in the armed forces. These events are on Chester County Datebook today and Thursday.

The Downingtown – Thorndale Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts a Veterans Day Flag Raising Ceremony in Kerr Park in Dowingtown beginning at 11:00 AM.

At noon, the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry offers up their Let’s Do Lunch series as a great way to meet and network with new and current members in a relaxed atmosphere.

On Thursday, the Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC) hosts their annual Legislative breakfast beginning at 7:30 at the Sheraton in Great Valley.

Also on Thursday, the Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce sponsors a Fall Community Service Day, the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce’s group of Young professionals are slated to meet in Harry’s Attic at 5:00 pm, and Delaware County Community College hosts a College Preview Night at their Downingtown Campus beginning at 6:00 PM.

Finally, The Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry hosts their Annual Dinner at Longwood Gardens Thursday evening.  This year’s dinner honors Nick DiBenedictis, retiring chairman of Aqua America.
