Brandywine Hospital Open House Raises Awareness about Mental Health

In an attempt to raise awareness about mental illnesses and the resources available to combat them in Chester County Brandywine Behavioral Health welcomed local residents, professionals, and officials to its Open House on October 20th.

The visitors were taken on a tour of the hospital’s 64-bed Behavioral Health Pavilion and were introduced to the new Vice President of Behavioral Health, Jayne Van Bramer. Van Bramer has worked on creating a therapeutic environment and improving access to care through a more streamlined patient intake process since she started at the position in August.

“These enhancements are designed to improve access to behavioral health resources in our community and prepare our caregivers to respond quickly to our patients’ needs,” said Van Bramer. “We help individuals in our care identify their talents, find their passion and be defined by their strengths rather than their illness.”

Triumph Group Beats Second Quarter Earnings Expectations

On Wednesday Triumph Group Inc. announced its second fiscal quarter results with a strong profit of $61.6 million.

The Berwyn based company also reported that its net earnings per share was $1.25, while its earnings, when adjusted for non-recurring costs, climbed even further at $1.32 per share.

These results beat Wall Street’s expectations, as the average estimate from the nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research predicted earnings of only $1.24 per share. However, the second quarter revenue the aircraft supplier was lower than expected at $954.8 million, falling short of the market consensus which was expecting to see closer to $985 million.

“Triumph’s adjusted second quarter earnings were in line with our expectations,” said Richard C. Ill, Triumph’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “The Aerospace Systems Group and the Aftermarket Services Group sustained strong operating margins in spite of a decline in sales.”
