The comic strip Peanuts made its debut 65 years ago on this date in 1950 and in 1967, Thurgood Marshall was sworn in as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, becoming the Court’s first African-American justice.

On Friday, Sunset Hill Fine Arts Gallery at 23 North High Street in West Chester hosts an exhibit of Gregory Blue’s most recent works of art as part of West Chester’s 25th Annual Gallery Walk beginning at 5:00 PM.

On Saturday, the Women’s Auxiliary of Chester County Hospital celebrates Chester County Day 2015, the 75th gala year of the longest running house tour in the country.
