Victory Brewing CompanyCraft beer lovers rejoice! Victory Brewing Company is bringing back its popular Headwaters Ale, not only to tantalize the taste buds of craft beer enthusiasts, but also with an even stronger commitment to forwarding watershed environmental stewardship programs.

The Headwaters Ale  is going to be distributed nationally with every beer poured, or sold in bottles and cans, providing a donation to the Headwaters Grant, the foundation set up five years ago to keep water and watersheds clean not only throughout Chester County but nationally as well. The original driving force behind Headwaters was to preserve the natural resources from which all Victory beers ‘spring’, but it has been so successful that Headwaters Grant wants to expand across the country.

Headwaters Grant has already contributed $35,000 to local  water advocacy groups from its sales within the five counties of Philadelphia. The re-launch of Headwaters Ale marks a new high point in this commitment to the local community.  There are also plans to use the re-launch to promote a number of fundraising events over the coming year to raise awareness for clean water issues. The first of these events was the Victory’s Run for the Headwaters 5K on September 20. Runners received a nice cold beer at the finish line.

“Everything, including ourselves, would cease to exist without clean water for sustenance. Many people act as though they are unaware of that fact and remain unaware of the true power their purchasing decisions wield,” said Victory’s President and Brewmaster, Bill Covaleski.

The new Headwaters Ale will maintain its crisp and aromatic signature but with a new label that reflects the two main purposes of the relaunched brand. The new can features a beautiful serene river scene with a single water droplet highlighting the importance of water conservation. The new beer will be available in 36 states and fans can use Victory’s Beerfinder to find the nearest supplier.

“We hope to reinforce that when fans choose Headwaters Ale they aren’t just proving their good taste through a flavorful beer choice, but are also supporting a way of life that sustains our brewery as well as this planet for generations to come,“ said Covaleski. “They really are helping save the planet one beer at a time.”
