Malvern Wireless Network Firm Dealing to Extend its Signal to Ends of the Earth

RajantLogoBlkLargeA pioneering Malvern business wired to help extend companies’ communications networks in remote geographies is literally casting its signal to the farthest reaches of the globe through a new business alliance.

Rajant just inked a partnership deal with British Telecommunications that expands BT’s capabilities and takes Rajant to more than 170 new countries, where it will soon be able to serve targeted militaries, industries, transportation networks, utilities, telecommunications operators and governments, according to a Philadelphia Business Journal report.

“We have great technology, and we’ve been looking for a way to get the technology carried all around the world in one fashion or another, and that’s what the BT relationship does,” CEO Bob Schena said in the article. “BT certainly has a large presence in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. That’s been the fundamental premise underlying the agreement.”

Through its kinetic mesh technology, Rajant connects far-flung vehicles and operations up to 100 square miles from their hub.

“We spent a lot of time talking to BT, and I think they concluded we offer some unique things,” Schena added. “… We take that reliability that they feel is core to what they offer and allow them to expand their network and reputation out to the edge of the network.”
