Enterprise Records Management Program Lead

Vanguard seeks an Enterprise Records Management Program Lead to lead Vanguard’s enterprise-wide Records Management Program to ensure the company remains in compliance with domestic and international records and data retention requirements. The Records Management Program Lead will define the strategic approach for Vanguard’s Enterprise Records Management Program and establishes policies, procedures, assessments, and remedial actions necessary for all Vanguard operations to comply with domestic and international record retention, data retention, and records management requirements, including, creating and overseeing a strategic Records Management department and framework within the Enterprise Data Governance and Privacy Department.

The ideal candidate should possess an undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience (JD, Master’s or professional degree preferred) and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant work experience in records management, regulatory compliance, information systems, information technology, internal audit, risk & control, or information security, disciplines. Hands on experience implementing corporate-wide records management programs and active participation in records management professional industry organizations and conferences (ARMA, MER, Sedona, AIIM, etc) is prefered.

Economist – Retirement / Lifecycle Investing

Vanguard seeks an Economist / Investment Analyst for its Investment Strategy Group to help formulate and research Vanguard’s Retirement / Lifecycle Investing agenda and to serve as a resource for internal investment groups (e.g., Portfolio Review Department, Investment Management, and Asset Management and Trust Services) and participate in generating department-initiated topics that will be used by both internal and external clients/prospects. The position will be part of a global team responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust economic and investment research effort at Vanguard.

The ideal candidate should have a recently awarded or expected Ph.D., or Post-Doctoral work in either Retirement / Lifecycle Investing or Behavioral Finance / Behavioral Economics. Although not required, up to two years of relevant professional working experience is a plus, preferably with a research or economic policy “think tank” organization. The candidate should have a solid knowledge of capital markets and key investment and economic concepts and have strong technical and analytical skills, including modeling and statistical methods.

Global Procurement Manager

Vanguard seeks a Global Procurement Manager to provide leadership and oversight of domestic and international procurement activities for The Vanguard Group and its subsidiaries. Once hired, the Global Procurement Manager will guide the operational implementation of policies, procedures, and processes to ensure application of fair business practices and consistent acquisition of products and services.

The ideal candidate for the Global Procuement Manager position at Vanguard should possess and undergraduate degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience, a Master’s degree or advancement toward one is preferred, and a minimum of five years general business experience and five years of experience buying goods/services including contract negotiations and three years of project experience or supervisory experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
