September 28th is the 271th day of the year leaving just 94 days remaining until the end of the year.  CBS made the first color televisions available for sale to the general public on this day in 1951 and Brigitte Bardot, the French actress who starred in a number of films in the 1950s and ’60s including Contempt, Spirits of the Dead and …And God Created Woman, turns 81 today.

There are no Chester County events scheduled Monday.

On Tuesday, September 29th, Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry hosts their annual Women’s Professional Development Conference at QVC Studio Park in West Chester beginning at 8:00 AM.

Also on Tuesday, the Philadelphia Area Great Careers Group holds a Launch Party on Villanova’s Campus beginning at 6:15 PM.

Finally, on Tuesday evening the Chester County Commissioners and Pipeline Safety Coalition present a Pipeline Safety Public Forum at Downingtown High School from 6:30 to 9:00 PM.  Admission to the forum is free.
