With final touches now in the works, anticipation is building for the grand opening of an expansive block-long apartment and retail development chock full of enticing amenities in the heart of Phoenixville.

The transformation of a former stretch of Phoenix Steel-affiliated buildings into the $54.3 million Phoenix Village, conceived by the DeMutis Group a decade ago and four years in the making, “is recasting Phoenixville and its commercial center” by creating “a whole new streetscape for the town. Designed by VLBJR Architects, Phoenix Village was made to look as if seven new, separate structures were plunked down on Bridge Street,” the Philadelphia Business Journal reported.

Rising on 340,000 square feet of land, its 275 apartments and 20,000 square feet of retail storefronts feature nine styles of apartments; a lobby filled with artwork; a tenant dining room with its own kitchen; a club room showcasing a bar, pool table and theater; a spacious deck with a bocci court, water feature and fire pit; an outdoor pool and pool house; a dedicated community event planner; access to the best-in-the-nation Schuylkill River Trail and a bustling walkable downtown; and an easy drive to work in Collegeville, Malvern and King of Prussia.

“I think that is going to make us unique,” Manny DeMutis said in the article.
