CertainTeed Products On Display In New ‘Home Free’ Reality TV Show
One of Chester County’s biggest economic players has thrown down a pair of work gloves in a challenge to home improvement-savvy couples across North America. CertainTeed, whose parent company is building a stunning showcase of its building materials in the new continental headquarters rising in Malvern, is airing the nine-couple, eight-week Home Free competition on FOX.
“This series is an exciting opportunity to show homeowners that renovation projects involve much more than just changing out cabinets and countertops. The often-overlooked products we choose to put in our walls have a major impact on the overall health and comfort of a home,” President and CEO of CertainTeed John Crowe said in a Building Online preview of the TV series. “As a long-time advocate for healthy homes, Mike Holmes will be the perfect guide for these prospective homeowners, educating them on using the right products for every job.”
Holmes, the Canadian star of shows like “Holmes on Homes” and “Holmes Inspection” as well as judge on “All American Handyman,” leads the DIY couples in an elimination-style competition to live in and renovate eight dilapidated properties one week at a time, with the surviving couple rewarded with the home of their dreams.
The show features CertainTeed’s healthy home-focused products like AirRenew chemical-neutralizing drywall and SMARTBATT moisture-managing fiberglass insulation.
“For each project, contestants will use CertainTeed’s wall-to-wall product solutions, helping them meet tight project timelines while also ensuring complete indoor comfort in each home for years to come.”
