The new visual experienced, designed by Phillys Klip Collective, is likely to draw crowds from all over the North East.

A two-hour trek into a living canvas where “projected creatures crawl, artful textures twirl and seasons change in the wink of an eye” awaits all of Chester County and beyond — well beyond.051115LongwoodGardens

Renowned visual artists at Philly-based Klip Collective have engineered their most daring production ever for Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square; “Nightscape: A Light and Sound Experience” debuts tomorrow and runs every Wednesday through Saturday night until Halloween.

“Honestly, you could make a very good indie movie on the seven-figure budget we had,” Principal and Creative Director Ricardo Rivera said in a Philly.com preview. “This is the biggest, most ambitious project we’ve ever done, our first multi-stage journey. For a participant, we see it as a chance to escape into your dreams, your imagination, to see something unexpected.”

The monumental show hopes to accomplish the mission of Longwood Gardens Executive Director Paul Redman, to connect “young people with plants ‘in the most meaningful and creative ways possible,’” as well as honor “the passion our benefactor, Pierre S. du Pont, had for both horticulture and music.”

From flashes of light to animated depictions of animals, moving musical instruments and undulating patterns, the show is ready to bombard the senses of attendees.

“Walking into our gates is like going into another realm,” Redman said in the article. “People start to whisper. It’s almost like walking into a church. And at night, with this amazing light and sound creation, the experience should really be mesmerizing.”
