The Coatesville paper company has a new printing facility.

Royal Paper Products, the longtime Coatesville area producer of disposable paper products, will print a new address on its letterhead for the first time in 65 years.

A Saturday grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will showcase Royal’s new 160,000-square-foot headquarters and production plant on 22 acres along Clover Mill Road in Exton.

“It is bittersweet moving after 65 years from where it all began, but we’re looking forward to having more space as we expand our line and continue to offer the finest disposable products with our signature customer service,” CEO David Milberg said in a Daily Local News report.

A prominent feature within the new three-story lobby appropriately honors that bittersweet transition: a replica of the original brick façade and signage that “will be a constant reminder of our historic roots as we look forward to the future.”

“… Back in 1949, we began manufacturing disposable beverage coasters in a garage in Coatesville,” Milberg added. “The entrepreneurial spirit and family values that started this company continue to dominate our corporate culture.”

Royal now manufactures, converts and distributes more than 1,000 paper products to the nation’s food service, hospitality and janitorial industries.

“Most people don’t realize we were one of the first to introduce paper coffee and beverage coasters and wooden expendable items like toothpicks and club frills. We were also one of the first to offer lobster bibs and conversational placemats like the Chinese Zodiac and children’s placemats that are now found in restaurants from coast to coast.”
