Software Test Engineer

The Software Test Engineer provides professional expertise in test scripting in manual and automated test frameworks. Essential job functions and  responsibilities include developing manual and  automated test scripts, executing those test scripts and logging of the test outcomes/results.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in developing, executing and troubleshooting test scripts in both a manual and automated test environments.  Knowledge of two or more of hardware and software platforms (Windows, Unix, Linux, mainframe) is required as is a basic understanding of XML script writing and reading.

Salesforce.com Business Systems Analyst

This position provides functional area support, documentation and training for Salesforce.com and ancillary applications used by Vertex’s sales groups. The Business Systems Analyst provides first-level support to Sales Work Center resources to resolve issues related to Salesforce.com and Oracle HTML and assists sales team members complete sales tasks in Salesforce.com as needed.

An in-depth knowledge of Salesforce.com, including sales, marketing, and reporting functions is required as is a working knowledge of salesforce automation systems such as Oracle CRM on Demand, Siebel, etc.  The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of business-to-business sales & marketing principles and concepts. Applicants should have a bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 3 to 5 years of experience with salesforce automation systems including Salesforce.com.

Senior SAP ABAP Developer / Technical Architect

The Senior SAP ABAP Technical Architect at Vertex is responsible for designing and developing SAP software integration transports (connectors) to Vertex O Series and SAP add-on solutions as directed by Vertex strategy. Responsibilities include development, configuration and extension of the SAP architecture, communicating the solution architecture, and providing guidance to software commercial development projects ensuring end-to-end business process compatibility.

The position requires a four year or master’s degree in computer science and ten or more years experience in SAP software development and/or implementation. Experience developing SAP structures/extensions which are understandable, robust, extensible and scalable by utilizing SAP ABAP Workbench, SAP User Exits, BAdI’s, and Data Dictionary is a must.  Consulting and mentoring experience related to Vertex and SAP is a real plus.
