QVC Searching For Best Tomorrowland Gadget

By

Anything is possible just around the corner in the land of the future, and QVC aims to take the world there today by unveiling the best new futuristic product — on the very day the world watches Disney’s blockbuster debut of Tomorrowland.

The global home shopping leader from West Chester is asking the public to vote now through Friday for their favorite of six up-and-coming products in its Search for a Better Tomorrow, according to an announcement this week.

“For almost 30 years, discovery, entrepreneurship and storytelling have been at the heart of QVC. We are committed to uncovering the inventors and products that make our customers’ lives easier, and input from our customers has always been a part of this,” Senior Vice President of Marketing and Programming Doug Rose said.

“Just as Disney’s ‘Tomorrowland’ celebrates the next generation of innovators, The Search for a Better Tomorrow honors products, personalities and perspectives that embody imagination and originality.”

The six best of 30 finalists from a QVC-United Inventors Assoc. collaboration started in March are now in the running for the grand prize: a spotlight on primetime QVC airwaves during The Search for a Better Tomorrow special on May 22 at 8 p.m. EST for the three most popular vote-getters, as well as a chance to sell live for the single most popular product.

They include the Floor Register Glove Dryer, an attachment that dries wet stuff from the inside out; the Micro Easy Grab for handling hot microwaved dishes; the eTape 16, a digital tape measure that remembers your measurements; The Seally Cap, which reseals all kinds of kitchen containers; the Tank Case Propane Storage Case and Cooler for safely transporting and disguising your propane tank; and UpCart, an all-terrain hand cart that climbs stairs.
