Remembering David Goldberg
The tech community is mourning the loss of David Goldberg this week. Goldberg, 47, who founded several companies including the so-called “unicorn” SurveyMonkey, died unexpectedly over the weekend. Husband to current Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg since 2004, Goldberg is being remembered as an astute entrepreneur and an ardent supporter of gender equality in Silicon Valley. Rhapsody in the Jet Stream
Chester County residents who fly first class may notice a different kind of publication in seat back pockets. Rhapsody, a Brooklyn-based journal of literature, has partnered up with United Airlines to put the journal in the hands of high flyers. From the New York Times:

As airlines try to distinguish their high-end service with luxuries like private sleeping chambers, showers, butler service and meals from five-star chefs, United Airlines is offering a loftier, more cerebral amenity to its first-class and business-class passengers: elegant prose by prominent novelists.

And who are those prominent novelists? Joyce Carol Oates, Elmore Leonard and recent Pulitzer prize winner Andy Doerr to name a few. Check out the article here.
