Marc Vetri of Vetri Family, a "critically acclaimed family of restaurants". Urban Outfitters announced on Monday that it is purchasing the Vetri Family restaurants.

Along with luxury residences and lavish retailers, the Devon Yard is bringing a pair of acclaimed Vetri Family restaurants to the Devon Horse Show vicinity as part of a bigger six-acre development — but neighbors are feeling more nerves than nirvana.

“One resident said they liked the idea of having a Vetri restaurant, but not ‘being woken up in the middle of the night by people leaving a very enjoyable dinner,’” a report in the Philadelphia Business Journal stated.

The family of elegant premium Italian restaurants partnered with Urban Outfitters to secure a spot in the development and is approaching the opportunity with sensitivity to its surroundings, the article noted.

“We don’t ever want to go to a community that has doubts about our arrival,” COO Jeff Benjamin said in response. “We want to make sure we listen to all of their concerns so they’re comfortable with their new neighbors.”

The nationally recognized chef and restaurant group features the Vetri, Pizzeria Vetri, Amis, Osteria, Alla Spina and Lospiedo brands though the particulars of which concepts Devon will host have yet to be determined.
