A Google eCity award, “recognize the strongest online business community in each state. These cities’ businesses are using the web to find new customers, connect with existing customers and fuel their local economies.”

According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, Google had this to say about Exton when it named the Chester County hub as one of its eCities in 2013:

Chester County’s largest city, Exton, is the digital capital of Pennsylvania. Its businesses are using the web to promote the city’s shopping district and lure visitors with Exton’s close proximity to Philadelphia.
