On Saturday, check out Fishing Opening Day at Newlin Grist Mill in Glen Mills from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pond fishing is available to everyone, including families and children. The Grist Mill’s trout ponds will be freshly stocked. Bring the kids, and a picnic, and celebrate spring! Cost: $5.00 per person and $4.00 per fish caught. Bait is available for $1.00/slice.
Or, head over to Blue Moon Florist in Downingtown for an Easter Egg Hunt and picture with the Easter Bunny from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. The event is a FREE Easter Egg Hunt and picture with the Easter Bunny. Don’t forget your camera!
There is also an Easter Egg Hunt at Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation in Newtown Square, PA from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the cost is $4-8 pp. Children 12 and under are welcome to search the fields of the farm to find eggs with treats and suprises in them. Look for the golden eggs and win a chance to pick a prize from the farm barrel. Wear your Easter bonnet or hat and win a prize. There will be a puppet show (Segal Puppet Theatre Company) for young children following the hunts. The Farm will close at 2:00pm. Families are welcome to stay and explore the farm and see the animals. Bring a picnic basket for afterwards. Enjoy a day in the country that is very close to home!
