Malvern Soon To Have Nation’s Largest Modern Luxury Theater

By

The largest luxury movie theater this country has seen in three decades will soon be coming East Whiteland with the October 2015 opening of Cobb Theatres at Uptown Worthington, according to a Daily Local News report.

The two-story, 85,000-square-foot cinema palace will feature a first-floor VIP theater and a second-story Cinébistro dinner theater, both with fully-stocked bars, wine cellars and reclining leather seats within an atmosphere that harkens back to “turn-of-the-century classical live theaters, such as the Academy of Music in Philadelphia,” the article stated.

“We want every guest who enters the Cobb Theatre to experience the glamour of the 1920s movie palaces mixed with today’s Hollywood splendor,” fourth-generation owner Robert M. Cobb was quoted as saying.

As such, the complex’s Cinébistro will be the nation’s only four-star dining experience within a movie house.

“The staff at Cinébistro are highly trained restaurant professionals with expertise in wine selection, exotic cocktails and fine food,” the company announced.

“Each Cinébistro has a chef-inspired menu. Guests can enjoy cocktails and dinner on the outdoor balcony or dine inside the theater. The Cinébistro will be one of the finest restaurants in the Philadelphia suburbs and clearly the finest movie theater in Pennsylvania.”
