On Saturday, join the Downingtown Library for Reader’s on the Run – a 5K Run / 1 Mile Walk & 100 Yard Kid’s Dash which starts at Green Street in Downingtown. 5K Run @ 8:00 AM, 1 Mile Walk @ 8:15 AM, Kids Dash @ 9:00 AM cost is $30 Race Day and Kid’s Dash is $10. All proceeds benefit the new Downingtown Library!

Or, head over to West Chester University for the The Missoula Children’s Theatre performance of  The Jungle Book – at the Emile K. Asplundh Concert Hall. Two shows, one at 3 p.m., one at 5:30 p.m. Adults are $8 and students are $5.

On Sunday, head to Springfield for the CCC performance of Shrek the Musical, Jr. CCC will perform Shrek the Musical, Jr. at Cardinal O’Hara High School, the cast of 150 children are in grades K – 9 from all over the Delaware Valley. 2 p.m., admission is $12.
