Recro Pharma, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical firm with offices in Malvern and Ireland, is purchasing a Georgia manufacturing facility from Alkermes PLC and global rights to that company’s experimental pain treatment, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Recro Pharma is focused on developing non-opiod therapeutics to treat acute post operative pain. The sale is set for the second quarter and is reportedly for $50 million up front and $120 million in milestone payments.
The deal also adds to Recro’s portfolio the rights to Alkermes’ pain treatment Meloxican IV/IM. Read the story here.
