Chester County’s Ten Priciest Homes

In its April edition hitting mailboxes and newstands this week, Main Line Today identified the 10 priciest homes sold in Chester County between 2010 and 2014.

Vaux Hill (pictured above) in Phoenixville, currently on the market for a modest $8,999,999, didn’t make MLT’s list, but maybe your house did.

Here are Main Line Today’s top ten priciest Chester County homes:

3.24.2015 11.     1035 Sugartown Road in Berwyn ($5,800,000) – 106 (all preserved) acres, nine bedrooms, five baths and various outbuildings including a barn.  Sold in 2011.

2.     1075 Leopard Road in Berwyn ($5,300,000) – 11,000 square feet of living space on a 12 acre property built by Ted Babiy.  Sold in 2011.

3.24.2015 33.     2300 Hilltop View Road in Coatesville ($5,000,000) – This six bedroom house and 14-stall barn sits on 180 acres next to the 800-acre Laurel Preserve. Sold in 2013.

3.24.2015 44.     333/339 S. Valley Road in Paoli ($4,500,000) – The spacious home has seven fireplaces, including one in the master suite, sits on 37-acre operating sheep and goat farm. Sold in 2013.

3.24.2015 55.     549 S Waterloo Road in Devon ($4,100,000) – Normandy-style home features seven bedrooms and seven baths together with its own bowling alley.  Sold in 2010.

3.24.2015 66.     36 Eastwick Drive in Malvern ($4,000,000) – A floating open staircase and an elevator provide access to all three levels of the custom Colonial set on 16 acre estate. Sold in 2014.

3.24.2015 77.     1270 Allerton Road in West Chester ($3,752,500) – A 60-year old cape expanded to accommodate four bedrooms and three baths set on 23 acre. Sold in 2011.

3.24.2015 88.     3993 Wells Road in Malvern ($3,650,000) – Built to resemble a Chester County farmhouse, the home’s two-car garage is supplemented with a detached three car version with a lift. Sold in 2014.

3.24.2015 2015 99.     320 Upland Road in Kennett Square ($3,550,000) – A converted barn with four bedroom and three baths, sits on “an exceedingly private” 70 acres just minutes from Unionville. Sold in 2014.

3.24.2015 2015 1010. 475 Thouron Road in Coatesville ($3,537,500) – Six bedroom, five bath house sitting on a 50 acre estate has “stunning” pastoral views and English-style gardens surrounding the pool and tennis court. Sold in 2010.
