Here are the top four interesting takeaways from the February edition of The Voice (see below), Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry’s monthly newsletter.

  • A brief overview of four options to consider when evaluating what to do with a 401K plan when leaving a job written by financial planner Daniel Zajac.  Zajac’s advice: a person’s age and the dollar amount tied up in the old employer’s stock are important factors to consider.
  • Fourteen new members including PNC Bank, the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center and Chester County Pops Orchestra.
  • A hearty welcome to Jen Linden and Jillian Herman, two new interns working at the Chamber this winter.  Linden is a Junior at West Chester University pursuing a degree in Business while Herman is a Senior at the same school majoring in communications with a minor in psychology .
  • Spencer Deane of The Alternative Board offers advice on the questions small business owners can ask job applicants to get them out of their comfort zone and truly discover how each candidate will respond in an actual workplace environment.
