By

Four more Chester County farms are among 18 farms in 10 counties that have just gone into preservation under the auspices of the Pennsylvania Agricultural Land Preservation Board.

They are the 110-acre crop and dairy owned by Abner R. and Mary E. King; a 133-acre crop and equine operation owned by the Lofting family and Kerr Trust; the 13-acre vineyard owned by Anthony and Karen Mangus; and the 73-acre dairy owned by Samuel, Ruth, Benuel and Sara Stoltzfus.

The board approved $30 million in state funding for 2015 easement purchases. Counties across Pennsylvania certified $14.7 million for farmland preservation in 2015.
