One of New Jersey’s Top 50 Women in Business has joined the leadership ranks of Wayne-based specialty pharmaceutical company Egalet, which is gearing up for the launch of two pain treatments and prepping for two more prospective products.

Egalet has named long-time pharmaceutical executive Deanne F. Melloy to the position of chief commercial officer, according to a company news announcement.

“Deanne’s extensive commercial experience, particularly her experience in the pain space, will be extremely valuable as we gear up to launch our recent innovative pain product additions, OXAYDO™ and SPRIX®, and build out our commercial organization in preparation for our pipeline products, Egalet-001 and Egalet-002,” CEO Bob Radie said.

Melloy has led business operations and marketing efforts at Shionogi, Sanofi and local pharmaceutical giant Endo after garnering sales and marketing experience at Johnson & Johnson, EMPI and Medtronic.
