Mars Drinks’ Executive Focuses On Humility, Family And Workplace Drinks

By

When Xavier Unkovic (above right), global President of West Chester-based Mars Drinks finishes work for the day he stops by the dojo on his way home from work.

What is a dojo?  A dojo, according to Wikipedia, “is a “formal gathering place for students of any Japanese martial arts including karate, judo, or samurai.”

The end-of-day dojo experience, says Unkovic in an interview published on page 23 of the January 2nd edition of the Philadelphia Business Journal, humbles him and gives him a chance to “pause and disconnect from work,” allowing the 49 year-old executive to “give my full attention to my family.”

Earlier in the interview, Unkovic, who was born in France and now lives in Ardmore with his wife and two children, speaks about his company’s sole focus on workplace drinks.

According to Unkovic, getting a drink at work is so different then getting one at home.  At home, a drink is meant to be relaxing.  At work, on the other hand, an invitation to grab a coffee is a signal “to connect, have a conversation and collaborate.

Our products and technologies are designed specifically with the needs of the office in mind. It is our goal to support businesses who want to provide great working environments for their people.

We focus 100 percent of our energy and resources on the workplace, with the belief that people are the most important asset to any business. We put a great deal of effort into satisfying the palates of everyone at work whereas at home it’s only about you.

We take pride in the diversity of our drinks range as we believe it is critical to provide satisfaction to everyone, which ultimately effects engagement at work.
