Kennett Square Is ‘Happening’ Because Of Community Members

By

Booming Kennett Square is now a happening town according to community members and leaders, and it’s due in large part to the efforts of many to a turn a little bit of town tradition into must-see attractions like New Year’s Eve’s 500-pound steel mushroom drop.

“We feel the reason for Kennett Square’s success lies in its people,” leaders of The Southern Chester County Weeklies wrote in an editorial. “From volunteer firefighters to volunteers at the Kennett Square Garage Youth Center, people care about Kennett Square, and it shows. It’s a big reason the borough has become a destination location.”

Kennett Square’s annual Brewfest, Kennett Run and Mushroom Festival are just a few other examples of events that have put the borough on the map, and as a result a number of economic developments have sprouted up in its fertile soil, including The Market at Liberty Place, Victory Brewing Co. and the Townhouses at Magnolia Place, the article noted.
