Western Chester County Chamber, YMCA Recognize Citadel Community Involvement

Citadel Branch
Citadel is a cornerstone of banking and wealth management in Chester County.

Citadel and its employees were recently recognized by two major county organizations.

Doug Thompson, director of the Western Retail Division at Citadel, received the Elliot R. Jones Award given annually by the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce.

Also, the Brandywine YMCA gave Citadel a Community Partner Award for its commitment to youth programs and the Y’s Swim, Play and Learn Aquatic Safety Program in Coatesville.

Last summer Citadel employees helped Coatesville youth stay safe in the pool by sponsoring the SPLASH program at Ash Park.

Thompson, a member of the Western Chamber since 2006, received the award given annually as a memorial to Elliot R. Jones, civic leader and former Chamber president.

Thompson, chamber president in 2010 and board member from 2008 to 2011, has been active on many Chamber committees and in membership engagement. Thompson joined Citadel in 2006 and has been focused on creating and developing community-minded marketing campaigns and promotions for Citadel’s western territory branches.
