Local restaurants and bars with liquor licenses may now make purchases on the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board online website and receive a 10 percent discount off the retail price of wine and spirits.

Previously, licensees were only eligible for a discount if they went to a state store or called an operator who would enter the order online.  The PLCB also says it improved the website, making searches easier.

“Our liquor licensees are a vital part of the Pennsylvania economy and our business,” said PLCB Chairman Joseph E. Brion. “We continue to look for ways to provide them with the products they want in the most convenient and efficient way possible. This is a small change that we hope will have a sizeable impact.”

The retail website is here.  The PLCB also said licensees will be able to take advantage of exclusive online products, pick up their order at their closest store, or have products shipped to their business.

FineWineAndGoodSpirits.com was completely rebranded in 2010. Approximately 2,000 and 2,500 products are available for purchase through the site that are not typically found in PLCB stores. In the 2013-14 Fiscal Year, the eCommerce store reported sales of nearly $2 million, including sales to out-of-state customers.
