Alana Moran, local mom and resident of Downingtown, PA, is the local publisher of Hulafrog, a website which aggregates and curates the best family-friendly events and destinations that Chester County and the Delaware Valley have to offer.

Hulafrog – West Chester is part of a national network of local web sites all focused on being a resource for busy parents. Hulafrog helps connect parents with kid-friendly events within their community, events that parent otherwise might have missed.

Hulafrog serves as a Yelp-like service for parents – parents can look on Hulafrog for reviews and see what businesses are ranked higher in a particular category based upon the “loves” and reviews written by other families.

Ms. Moran launched the West Chester site in the spring of 2014 and has seen a significant month over month increase in subscribers since that time.

In addition to helping parents plan fun adventures for their kids, Hulafrog is also a resource and support network for local small businesses that cater to children and families.

Every small business across Chester County catering to children and families in some capacity gets a free business profile on the Hulafrog website.  Businesses claim their free business profile, edit it, and add information about family-friendly events.

Businesses are able to leverage their free Hulafrog business profile for marketing exposure, back linking to their website and social media exposure.

The profile of St. Agnes School, winner of the Hulafrog Most Loved Preschool two years running, is a great example of a great Chester County Hulafrog profile.

According to Moran, businesses can advertise on Hulafrog as well.  Moran’s business background has been beneficial in allowing her to guide her advertisers to get the best marketing exposure and get them in front of that coveted mom/dad demographic.
