Coffee Break: Facebook To Scale Back Unpaid Advertising Exposure
The Wall Street Journal reported last week on new changes to Facebook’s advertising policy that may effect thousands of small businesses in Chester County that depend on the platform to reach customers.
“…As of mid-January, the social network will intensify its efforts to filter out unpaid promotional material in user news feeds that businesses have posted as status updates.”
The changes come as Facebook attempts to lure more small business owners to paid advertising which, Facebook argues, has become more effective in helping businesses target potential customers. You can read more of WSJ’s coverage here.
